Zapaygo, self-described as a lifestyle payment app for your smartphone, has launched an affiliate program. Problem is, they make the typical affiliate mistake….

First, here’s a bit on what Zapaygo is:

Zapaygo provides a menu of goods or services and a pre-order and payment facility to consumers through a free smartphone application.

The technology has been developed to innovate an age-old customer problem and to help venues and visitors improve their customer experience. Zapaygo will become the leading mobile payment platform in the sports, leisure and hospitality sectors.

The app streamlines the ordering and payment process in bars, restaurant, stadiums and many other venues, helping users and all types of businesses by reducing wasted time in queues and enhancing the service experience for everyone.

Zapaygo’s big mistake is their affiliate pay structure:

Bonus token structure:

7% from first contacts.
6% from second tier contacts (people introduced by your first contact).
5% from third tier contacts (people introduced by your second contact).
4% from forth tier contacts (people introduced by your third contact).
3% from fifth tier contacts (people introduced by your fourth contact).
2% from sixth tier contacts (people introduced by your fifth contact).
1% from seventh tier contacts (people introduced by your sixth contact).
0% from eighth tier contacts (people introduced by your seventh contact).

Apparently they have a Crypto component but that’s not the point. The point is you’ll never make money.

Why?

Because the payout percentages are pathetic. Yes, pathetic. (and BTW…good move Zapaygo listing that the 8th tier gets Zero….)

I see this all the time…a company launches an affiliate program and offers you a ‘generous’ payout of…8 percent!

That’s insulting.

In the above pay plan, I could not determine with certainty if this is a multi-level structure because of the wording (‘people introduced by your first contact’?)

Doesn’t matter, as a multi-level payout is just as bad.

If you’re going to succeed in affiliate marketing you better look for payouts of 40-50 percent minimum. It also helps to not make the typical affiliate mistakes.

8 percent will NEVER cut it.

That’s why I do not promote Amazon.

Make sure you align yourself with a good product or service that has a higher price structure and a generous affiliate cut.
